Christmas Morning

I am sooo happy Christmas is over. I'll be even happier when this year is over.

I was so bah humbug this Christmas, I put off buying stocking stuffers until Christmas Eve day. Well....We had some unexpected company that day. I didn't get to the store until 6:00PM. Everything was closed. Can you believe it? This had never happened to me before. I've always gotten great stocking stuffers. Damn it to hell, what was a poor girl to do?

So, a little light bulb came on in my head and I borrowed an idea from Pickles. (Yes, writer mom's Pickles.) http://writermotherwifeme.blogspot.com/2006/12/elves-and-not-orlando-bloom-kind.html
I went through the kitchen and gathered macaroni and cheese, instant oatmeal, Carnation Instant Breakfast, some cookies, and coffee pods and stuffed all of our stockings. You should have seen the look on Devin's face when he pulled out a box of macaroni and cheese out of his stocking. We all laughed our a$$e$ off.

The animals had better stocking stuffers than us.

I added this picture of my favorite gift this year. Devin made it for me in shop class. It is a paper towell and napkin holder. We had a nice Christmas. I hope all of you did as well.

Thanks for the idea Pickles!

I agree with Lori, you sure are pretty. :) I'm glad you had a good Christmas. It was just another day to me, but maybe next year will be better.

James,
I'm feelin' good! Laughter is the answer to everything.

Lori,
They are cute guys! And yes, Molly is the greatest dog in the world! Have I told you that before?

Kelley,
Cool. I live in a raised ranch house. Maybe we do live in teh sme kind of house. See, we have a connection.

Sassy,
Sorry it was just another day to you. I'm sure next year will be better. Oh, you and Lori flatter me so. I'm feeling flushed. Let me fan my face with my hand. Hugs to you. :)

Jess,
Yep, mac and cheese. Santa was good to my boy. My blankey? I had to cover up with something Christmassy. I didn't want anyone to see my sexy body in my sexy robe.

Took the damned tree down New Year's Eve and I'm glad to be starting a new year today. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

And thank God for Pickles. She's saved my ass so many times, I'm beginning to wonder why she wears the Tinkerbell outfit instead of tights and a cape.

Yeah ... how ARE you feeling? Got everything fine-tuned now? I sure hope so, and I hope you have a wonderful 2007. XOXOX

Hey Zilla,

I'm still fine tuning. However, I feel much, MUch, MUCH better now. Woo woo! Thanks for asking.

XXXOOO to you,

Becky

Alright lady, I posted! I left a comment over on Sassy's blog, too, after you and I talked. (I just woke up this morning after having slept for a day and a half, so I'm a little behind schedule).

I was thinking about starting a new blog, something sort of like the grumpy old bitches blog. One that is devoted to our battles with depression, and abuse, and substance abuse, and just about anything else you can think of, that ties in to those things. What do you think? Do you think people might be able to get into such a thing? It wouldn't be meant for any other purpose, but to share stories and experiences common or specific to us.

Anyway, that's all, just wanted to let you know I posted. I'm wondering when you're making the switch to the new building at work? Is that soon?

Ok, I love you, bye-bye,
hoo

It's good to see that Pickles has touched another life. I swear, if she's not elected president someday, she'll take the world over by brute force.

Either way, we'll be better off.

Sister, I saw brother Jimmy Mike today, hehe...I love calling him that.

He has a new grandson, also named Mike, Timi's newest, 6 wks old, cute as hell...anyway, we were both at Doctor Howards suffering with our damned kidneys, and I told him I was telling you, on him, because he hasn't been taking care of himself, you know suffering, and shit....

And he said, Lori, you asshole, you just want to get her off your ass and on to mine. Heh, and I said, "Well, yes, there is that."

Oh Becky he looked good even though he was in major pain, call him, he needs ya.

Love

I need to ask a favor:

I wrote a little post titled "Oprah Winfrey vs. Twisty Faster" and Im looking for feedback from all the women I blog around with.

If you can, would you drop by and post your thoughts?

I'm thinking about writing a magazine article on the subject.

Thanks,

Kelley Bell

Boy, am I late!!

New Year's Resolution, do more blog visiting. (Slapping my forehead.)
Love seeing your pictures!
And I sincerely hope 2007 is a shining year for you. I know you had a lot going on in 2006. Even still, you maintained a supportive and compassionate spirit for others, so telling of an incredible character.
Depth and grace under fire, etc.
You're a remarkable woman, and even the best have hard years. You're due for the good stuff, and I'm putting my bet on ya.
(I really like HawaiiMark's method of stress reduction. Vegas reunion '07?)
Hugs and kisses from all of us, but most especially my spunky Pickles, who now knows how to spell the word fart.

you look so pretty! what a all around beautiful family you have :o) and very very cool paper towel and napkin holder. I love homemade heartfelt gifts like that...

pickles is brilliant. I love the fact you implemented her idea and got great results ... belly laughs on christmas morning are awesome.

my mom and dad always put practical stuff in our stockings, but we never laughed. I guess we were just too used to q-tips and canned soup already by the time we were older and nothing was strange about it to us!

merry christmas & happy new year you beautiful long-haired woman, you!
